Mangaluru: Swamijis of 12 different mathas on the coastal line have warned the Congress Government that their anti-Hindu stance will be confronted jointly by them and many others joining, if the Government did not rescind their decisions to take back prohibition of cow slaughter and anti-conversion law.
Talking about this in a joint press conference after their council meeting, Odiyuru Gurudevananda Swamiji Vajradehi Swamiji of Gurupura Matha said that the Congress Government should immediately abandon the decision to withdraw the Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Act and the Conversion Act. We have decided to appeal to the Government not to withdraw the Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act. If the Government withdraws this act, there is a possibility of conflict in the society.
“If the Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act is repealed, the progeny of the cow will be destroyed. This resolution is an anti-Hindu resolution. So, the Government should withdraw from this decision. Otherwise, we will go on a fast together with all the other swamijis.” He said that he is confident that the state Government will give a positive response to our request.
“If all the saints go on a hunger strike, the outrage of the Hindu society will erupt. Due to this, the peace system in the state will deteriorate,” he said and that it is the responsibility of the Government to maintain peace and unity in the state.
