Unleashing chaos and terror amidst the serene surroundings of the Surathkal-Thokur stretch of the Dadar-Tirunalveli train route, a harrowing incident unfolded, leaving passengers on a moving train in a state of panic.
With swords in hand, two individuals struck fear into the hearts of unsuspecting travelers. However, the swift and valiant response from the Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs) aboard the train brought the situation under control, averting a potential catastrophe.
The incident took place on June 30, as culprits Jayaprabhu and Prasad, while enroute from Goa to Tirunalveli, allowed their intoxicated state to cloud their judgment. Their audacious brandishing of swords sent shockwaves throughout the train, shattering the peaceful atmosphere and plunging passengers into a realm of uncertainty.
As the train pressed forward along the Surathkal to Thokur path in Mangaluru, an unsettling aura of fear pervaded the air. In a desperate bid for self-preservation, passengers hastily sought refuge, fleeing the coach in search of safety.
However, amidst the pandemonium, the courageous and level-headed response of TTEs Babu K., K. Srinivas Shetty, and Thimmappa Gowda proved to be the pivotal factor that brought order back to the train. With unwavering bravery, they swiftly disarmed the assailants, confiscating the swords and ensuring the security of passengers.
Upon arrival at the Mangaluru Railway Station, the two culprits were promptly handed over to the local authorities, signaling the initiation of the legal process. Meanwhile, the aftermath of their reckless actions became evident, as damaged seats and shattered windows silently testified to the havoc unleashed within the confines of the train.
