Mysuru: A Yuva brigade worker was murdered in Nanjanagudu near here on July 9 night. The deceased has been identified as Venu Gopal, a Sangh Parivar worker.
It is said that the reason for the murder was a dispute over the parking of a bike near the temple during the recent Hanuma Jayanti festival, on the other hand, according to the wife of deceased Venugopal, the controversy over keeping Puneeth Rajkumar’s photo in a procession vehicle is prime reason for grudge. Now the police are investigating in all dimensions.

Youth Brigade Activist Venugopal Naik was stabbed to death with a bottle by his acquaintances and old friends on July 9 night. Preliminary information said that this murder took place after the quarrel that took place during the celebration of Hanuman Jayanti.
An FIR has been registered against six people, and two have been arrested. In connection with the Venugopal Naik murder case, the police have registered an FIR against six persons namely Manikantha, Sandesh, Anil, Shankar, Manju and Harris. Among them, Manikantha and Sandesh, the main accused, have been arrested. A trap has been laid to nab the rest.
During the Hanuma Jayanti procession held on July 8, the organisers had prevented all vehicles from being allowed near the temple. There was a fight between Venugopala Naik who was leading it and the accused. Venugopal Naik had said that he would not allow bikes to be parked near the temple for any reason. The primary information is that a riot was committed and the murder was committed with this issue in mind.
However, Venugopal’s wife says the reason is different. Meanwhile, Venugopal’s wife Purnima, who has made a statement in front of the media, has said that there is a possibility of a photo controversy behind this murder.
