Mangaluru: In a bizzare incident a Truck coming to Mangaluru city from Bihar reportedly dragged a passenger car for a kilometre on July 17 on National Highway 66 near Padubidri-Hejamadi in Udupi District.
The car had three occupants, driver Yasir Khan, Gafar Khan, who received minor injuries while the third passenger Shahina escaped unhurt.
The truck driver was unaware of the car getting entangled with his vehicle and thus he stopped the truck only when motorists driving on the same direction overtook him and asked him to stop.
Injured have been admitted to a hospital and Padubidri Police is investigating.
The incident happened around 2.00 pm, when the car hit the lorry. The lorry driver was not aware that a car had hit his truck.
The passenger inside the car also recorded the incident. In the video that has gone viral, the passengers are seen instructing the truck driver to stop and are heard hurling abusive language.
