Bengaluru: In response to the recent arrest of a group of suspected terrorists in the capital city, the state Government has taken proactive measures to avert potential disasters and crimes. The successful apprehension of five suspects by the CCB police in Bengaluru prevented a major act of vandalism.
Home Minister G. Parameshwar has issued crucial instructions to enhance precautionary measures, tasking the police officers with Beat Policing (Micro Beat Policing). The Home Department has mandated the creation of micro beat policing in every station, with each policeman assigned to monitor a specific area and gather detailed information about its residents, including their backgrounds, occupations, contacts, and movements.
The emphasis is on establishing close connections with local communities to gather information about suspicious individuals and any newcomers to the area. The police have been directed to conduct regular patrols in sensitive and hypersensitive regions to maintain heightened vigilance.
As the CCB custody of the five suspected terrorists nears its end, they are expected to be produced in court and remanded in judicial custody. The police are diligently investigating the source of the seized pistol and grenade to uncover their origin and procurement details.
With these new directives in place, the state Government aims to bolster security measures and ensure the safety of its citizens from potential threats.
