If you can remember, we were taught about sense organs when we are in kindergarten. The use of sense organs was explained and pictures were shown. These days many activities related to the sense organs are conducted. An awareness is created to make children understand the important of sense organs and its care.
We take our sense organs for granted, and we kind of abuse them at times. We tend to realise only when our eyesight dims or our hearing is impaired. Let us look at a few things that we could do in everyday life to keep our senses and the organs related healthy and sound.
Regular check-up is essential, it helps us in keeping our organs healthy and also makes us aware of any damage.
A good and healthy diet should be practiced.
Sun is the source of vitamin D but its rays could be harmful to the skin and eyes, hence regular use of sunscreen and wearing sunglasses is recommended.
Listen to music at low volume. Avoid using headphones, air pods for longer duration.
Protect your sense of smell, usually with age we lose smelling sense, hence it is said that smelling 5-6 things in a day helps.
Maintain hygiene.
For one to be healthy and have sound sense organs, exercising is necessary.
It is best to minimize our screen time, it deteriorates the sense of seeing.
A good sleeping routine is another essential practice for healthy sense organs.
We will only know the value of our senses if we lose them. Hence, be sensible and nurture your sense organs like a baby.
