Bengaluru: A case has been registered against Telangana Congress Leader K. Shivakumar Reddy at Cubbon Park Police Station. Kumbham Shivakumar Reddy is the President of Telangana Narayan Pet District Congress and has been accused of rape in a prestigious private hotel in the city. Shivakumar Reddy contested the 2018 Telangana Assembly election from Narayan Pet Constituency and lost.
Even in 2020, a case of rape and fraud was registered against K. Shivakumar Reddy in Panjagutta Police Station. In 2020, Shivakumar Reddy met a 45-year-old woman. Later a friendship developed between the two. As days pass, Shivakumar Reddy got closer to the woman. One day Shivakumar Reddy proposed to a woman to marry him. When the woman inquired about Shivakumar Reddy’s first wife, he said, “My wife is ill. And will not survive more than three years. So he needs a woman to take care of her.”
Later they both marry as per Hindu tradition. Later, Shivakumar Reddy called the woman to a prestigious star hotel in Panjagutta and had sex with her without permission. Later, the victim had recorded in the complaint that he had captured the nude pictures of the woman on his mobile phone and threatened to share them on social media if she did not listen to what he said.
The Panjagutta Police had registered a case against Shivakumar Reddy under IPC Sections 417, 420, 376 and 506.
