Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, who had stated that the high command has shown interest for an alliance with the JDS and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has agreed to form an alliance, has now denied his statement.
Yeddyurappa, who had come to Delhi to attend the BJP’s Central Election Committee meeting, spoke to the media at the Kempegowda Airport on September 15 when he arrived in Bangalore.
“No issue of the state was discussed in the Delhi assembly. There was no discussion about the alliance. In the meeting, only the G20 summit and the success of Chandrayaan were discussed.
“There was no discussion about state politics with the elders. I don’t know what Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have in mind. State BJP leaders have no objection to the alliance. But we have to see what the superiors decide. There is no personal opinion in this. The actual facts will be known after the discussion,” he said.
