Bengaluru: On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, various forms of Lord Ganesha idols are ceremoniously installed and worshipped. However, the Sri Sathyaganapati Temple in Puttenahalli, JP Nagar, Bengaluru has broken new ground by adorning its premises with currency notes and coins amounting to millions, capturing the nation’s attention with this extraordinary display.
The Shree Sathya Ganapati Shirdi Sai Trust has consistently strived to offer devotees novel and spiritually enriching experiences. This time, on the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi, they have meticulously crafted garlands of 5, 10, and 20 rupee coins, as well as 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 rupee notes, collectively valued at approximately 2.5 crores. The elaborate decoration, executed by a dedicated team of 150 individuals over the course of a month, has been equipped with state-of-the-art security measures and CCTV surveillance to ensure its safety.
What makes this embellishment even more remarkable is the creation of artistic depictions using coins, including images of Lord Ganesha, Jai Karnataka, Nation First, Vikram Lander, Chandrayaan, and Jai Jawaan Jai Kisan. Ram Mohan Raju, one of the trustees of the Sri Sathya Ganapati Shirdi Trust, expressed his delight at the overwhelmingly positive response from devotees who have marveled at this breathtaking display.
The unique currency ornamentation will remain on exhibit for an additional week, allowing devotees to partake in this divine spectacle, as stated by the Trust in an official announcement.
