In the heart of Greater Noida, where the hum of excitement for MotoGP is growing louder with each passing day, spiritual guru Sadhguru graced the Buddh International Circuit with his presence and took an inaugural lap. As India prepares to host its inaugural MotoGP race this weekend, Sadhguru’s visit added a unique spiritual dimension to the event, emphasising the profound connection between motorcycles and the human spirit.
Amid the revving engines and adrenaline-charged atmosphere, Sadhguru shared his profound insights on the significance of MotoGP coming to India. “India is a land of motorcycles,” he said with an impassioned smile. “People use two-wheelers more than anything. It’s necessary for youth to expand their energy, and they need a sport that is not only challenging but also captivating. People may think it’s dangerous, but riding on the road is often far more perilous than riding on the track. On the track, it’s all about control, with an abundance of rules, ensuring nobody can break them. So, overall, it’s a fantastic endeavour for everyone.”
Sadhguru, known for his deep spiritual teachings, also delved into his personal connection with motorcycles. “I got my license just after my 18th birthday, so, for me, motorcycles have never been just a mode of transport, nor simply a sport; they’ve been a symbol of freedom. I’ve traversed the length and breadth of India on two wheels many times. My bike was not a high-powered superbike; it was a 250cc single-cylinder machine. But it wasn’t about reaching a destination; it was about savouring the scenery and the incredible beauty of this country,” he reminisced.
As the anticipation builds, the inaugural MotoGP Bharat is set to feature 82 riders from 41 teams, promising an electrifying spectacle for racing enthusiasts. Qualifying sessions are slated for Saturday, from 11:20-11:35 am and 11:45-12:00 pm, setting the stage for the main race on Sunday at 3:30 pm.
With Sadhguru’s heartfelt visit, MotoGP Bharat is not only about the thrill of high-speed racing but also about the spiritual connection that motorcycles bring to India’s diverse and dynamic culture.
In a nation where motorcycles are an inseparable part of life, the Buddh International Circuit is poised to become the epicenter of MotoGP action, and Sadhguru’s visit only solidifies the significance of this momentous event. The engines are primed, the riders are ready, and India’s first-ever MotoGP race is on the horizon, promising a weekend of speed, spirit, and spiritual connection.
