Bengaluru: Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, M B Patil participated at a luncheon meeting with the honourable consul General of India, D C Manjunath at Houston in Texas, USA.
In the meeting with the Consul General of India, Patil expressed the state’s interest in fostering global partnership and the possibilities that lie ahead for collaboration between the United States of America and the state of Karnataka. Both sides also discussed potential ways to strengthen economic and business ties.
The Minister also put forth its intent of focusing on sectors for investment in which Karnataka has a competitive advantage. The delegation ensured ease of doing business and a favorable regulatory environment in Karnataka in order to safeguard the interests of investors.
The luncheon was part of the 12-day tour the Minister M B Patil has embarked upon along with senior officials which includes Dr. S Selvakumar, Principal Secretary to Government, Department of Commerce and Industries, Dr. Ekroop Caur, Secretary to Government, Department of Electronics Information Technology Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka and Gunjan Krishna, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director of Industries and Commerce, Government of Karnataka.
