Karkala: In a troubling development, a 35-year-old head constable, Shruthin Shetty, who is stationed at the Karkala town police station, has been missing since Thursday, raising concerns and prompting a search operation.
Shruthin Shetty was on his weekly day off on Thursday and had informed his wife that he would return home by evening. However, he did not arrive as expected. On the following day, Friday, he applied for emergency leave, but he still did not make it home. In light of his continued absence, his wife decided to take action and filed a missing person report at the Padubidri police station.
The police have initiated an active search for Shruthin, even though his mobile phone remains switched off. It is known that he left his home on his motorcycle. Additionally, it has come to light that he had taken a loan a few years ago, presumably during his marriage. His wife is currently pregnant, adding to the urgency of the search efforts.
