Bengaluru: The most controversial turncoat in Karnataka’s Assembly elections, Jagadish Shettar is left in a situation where he has to catch up. The Hubballi-Dharawad Central Assembly constituency has had witnessed three BJP victories since 2008.
Jagadish Shettar, who recently shifted to Congress is said to have a strong backing of his followers and supporters. During the early trend, Shettar hasn’t shown significant lead as he still has to catch up to the BJP candidate, Mahesh Tenginakai.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), Mahesh Tenginakai has a lead of more than 10,000 votes against Shettar.
It is unclear at the moment in Hubballi-Dharawad Central constituency but the trends look like a majority of the people have chosen to vote for the BJP candidate and not a former BJP leader.
