Indoor plants are low maintenance and ornamental, with umpteen benefits like air purifying, lowering anxiety, etc. Then why think twice before picking a few for your home? Let us continue with our list of indoor plants.
Blue Star Fern: This is a house plant that is considered a gem. It prefers indirect bright light and occasional watering. The leaves of this plant look like feathers. The soil needs to be kept moist through out.
Succulents: Succulents are plants with parts fleshy, thickened and puffy. Their stem stores water, hence they require less watering. They grow beautifully in bright direct light; these plants prefer warm and dry climates.
Pilea: Also called the Chinese money plant and is a native of South Africa. It is a flowering plant, and grows best in indirect bright sunlight, with less water. The leaves of the plant are in coin and look very pleasing to the eye. The UFO plant, pancake plant, lefse or missionary plant are the other names of pilea.
Anthurium: This plant is one of my favourites, has heart shaped and waxy looking leaves, needing very less care. Anthuriums prefers indirect but bright light and watering every one or two weeks. It is said to be listed in the air purifying plants list of NASA.
Kalanchoe: The most common one is the Kalanchoe Blossfeldiana, bearing clusters of tiny flowers in red, pink, yellow, white and orange. The plant should be kept where there is indirect sunlight, a warm place. The soil should dry out completely before watering. It is a mood booster plant.
Jade Plant: It is a succulent, having a long lifespan and needing minimum care. It thrives on medium light and watering only after the soil Has dried. They have thick stem, with green fleshy leaves in oval shape.
All plants need fertilisers for nourishment, as they are potted plants, they cannot get nutrients as compared to plants planted directly on land/soil. Even if you consider yourself as someone without a green thumb, these plants can be grown with just right knowledge and schedule.
