The Union Ministry of Education and the world-renowned software company Adobe have agreed to a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to use the Adobe Express application in schools to encourage student creativity. By 2027, this partnership hopes to train and certify 500,000 instructors and 20 million pupils in creativity and digital literacy using an Adobe Express-based curriculum.
Fostering fresh thinking, innovation, and creativity is crucial in the digital age, according to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He praised the education ecosystem for collaborating with a major international corporation like Adobe, saying that this relationship would establish new standards and benchmarks for students.
Prativa Mohapatra, vice president and managing director of Adobe, emphasised the influence of the company’s creative and digital skill-building programmes on millions of Indian students. She expressed excitement about introducing cutting-edge technology into Indian classrooms, particularly Adobe Express’s generative AI capabilities, which will revolutionise how students and teachers employ creativity to turn concepts into beautiful material.
As part of the programme, Adobe will offer free Adobe Express Premium access to schools across the nation as well as opportunities for professional development for teachers. With a focus on Adobe Express tools and capabilities, the curriculum, training, and certification will cover a range of subjects, including creativity, generative AI, design, animation, video, and emerging technologies.
Express is a user-friendly content creation tool with generative AI capabilities, according to Adobe. In order to encourage students’ creative abilities, the programme intends to upskill 500,000 instructors in schools and higher education institutions to use Express for developing digital learning content. Teachers who successfully finish the course will be certified as Adobe Creative Educators.
