Hubballi: The Hubballi Idgah ground bore witness to the installation of a magnificent Ganesha idol in celebration of Ganesha Chaturthi. This grand event, organized by right-wing organizations, was accompanied by stringent security measures.
The five-foot-tall idol of Lord Ganesha was placed ceremoniously on the Idgah ground, following a grand procession that commenced at Mooru Savira Mutt. Hubli Central MLA Mahesh Tenginkai actively participated in the procession along with devotees.
The installation culminated in a profound prayer offering to the deity. To ensure the safety of all attendees and the smooth conduct of the event, authorities left no stone unturned. A significant contingent of around 5,000 police personnel was deployed to oversee security arrangements. Additionally, strategically positioned CCTV cameras served as vigilant sentinels against any untoward incidents.
The Ganesha idol will be on display at the ground for three days, providing devotees with the opportunity to offer their prayers and seek blessings. The culmination of this vibrant celebration is scheduled for September 21, with the immersion of the idol in water. This moment promises to be as grand as the installation itself, marked by a jubilant procession.
One remarkable aspect of this event is the division of the Idgah ground into two distinct sections, separated by tin sheets. While one portion continues to serve as a space for Namaz, the other section has been temporarily repurposed for the installation of the Ganesha idol.
